I found this gem on facebook, but after I commented the person who posted the picture unfriended and blocked me.
my comment:
“because an unborn fetus can totally make a decision for itself.”
I got a notification that contained the beginning of a comment in response:
“that’s why the mother has to take responsibility…”
Then the post disappeared and I can’t seem to find this person on facebook anymore… hmmmm….
Well, to respond to what I saw of the comment, I say:
The mother has to take responsibility to know whether or not she’s prepared to have a baby. It may not be “her” body in your eyes, but she should be free to make the decision to make a drastic life change. She may be in school or dealing drugs, or homeless or in an abusive relationship, none of which are conditions any child should be forced to live under. If you are against abortion, don’t get one. Don’t go trying to tell other grown women capable of making choices for themselves what they can and cannot do with their own bodies.
